Brief info

Michael Uhila has studied with Gil Fronsdale at the Insight Meditation Center. He studied with several other teachers such as Les Kaye at Kannon Do, Roshi Grace at Stanford University, Zen teacher Rebecca Nie, Ani Pema Chodron, Ani Lhamo, Ani Changchup Chodron, Khenpo Tsultrim Lodro and Khenpo Palijor.

Michael completed a month-long retreat at the Shambhala Mountain Center 2013 and stayed at the Gampo Abbey in Nova Scotia as a monastic resident from 2015 to 2016. Professionally, he is a television producer at the Media Center and has won the Wave Award for Best Performing Arts for the Pajama Party in 2013. He was selected for the short film auditions for the role of
Master Chan at the AVIFF Film Festival in 2020. His Tibetan Buddhist name is Tsultrin Pawo, which means Discipline Warrior.
